Cherry Creek Treatment Center is a medically supervised detox center in Wichita, located at 8080 E Pawnee Street, for people withdrawing from alcohol and drugs. Our medical team is on site around the clock to keep you safe and as comfortable as possible.

What to Expect in Detox

For most people, detox lasts three to seven days. The exact length depends on the substances used, how long you have been using them, your overall health, and how your body responds. It is normal to feel shaky, tired, anxious, nauseous, or restless during these first days. These symptoms are part of withdrawal, and they pass.

From the moment you arrive, our nurses and medical providers monitor you 24/7, check your vitals, and adjust medications when needed so every symptom is managed safely.

Comfort-Focused Care

While your body heals, we take care of the rest. You will have a clean, quiet room to rest in, nutritious meals to help your body repair, and constant support from nurses, medical providers, and clinical staff. You will be checked on regularly and reminded that what you are feeling is temporary.

What Comes After Detox

Detox clears the substances from your body, but lasting recovery takes treatment. While you are still in detox, our team starts planning your next step, so the move into our inpatient residential program or Partial Hospitalization Program (PHP) is smooth. You stay with the same team the whole way, through Intensive Outpatient (IOP) and outpatient counseling.
