Adolescence Residential program
Adolescent Residential Program
We understand that facing a substance use disorder during adolescence comes with a unique set of emotional, developmental, and social challenges. Our adolescent residential program, located in Wichita, Kansas, provides comprehensive and compassionate care for youth ages 13–18 who are struggling with a primary substance use disorder and may also be experiencing co-occurring behavioral or mental health concerns.
A Personalized & Supportive Healing Environment
Every young person who enters our program participates in a thorough clinical and medical assessment. This allows our team to create a highly individualized treatment plan tailored to their symptoms, strengths, family dynamics, trauma history, and overall goals.
Your teen will receive the same high-quality, evidence-based interventions offered in our adult residential program—adapted to be developmentally appropriate for adolescents. Our structured and nurturing environment allows each client to stabilize, grow, and rebuild confidence away from the stressors and influences of daily life.

Throughout their stay, adolescents may benefit from:
Medically supervised detoxification (when clinically indicated)

Program Length
The adolescent residential program is typically a 30-day stay, though length of stay may vary depending on clinical progress. Extended care is available when additional treatment time is recommended.
Our adolescent inpatient program offers powerful benefits that support long-term healing and stability for teens ages 13–18. Residential treatment provides a structured, safe environment where young people can step away from the stressors, pressures, and high-risk influences of their daily lives, allowing them to fully focus on themselves and their recovery. By removing distractions such as peer pressure, substance-using friends, school challenges, and family conflict, adolescents are given the space they need to rebuild confidence and learn healthier ways of coping. One of the greatest advantages of our program is the constant availability of compassionate clinical and support staff who are present 24/7 to guide, encourage, and help stabilize teens as they move through each stage of treatment. Each day includes individual therapy, group therapy, skills training, educational support, recreation, and wellness activities, all delivered through a highly structured schedule that promotes consistency, accountability, and emotional growth. Teens benefit from being part of a supportive therapeutic community where they connect with peers who understand their struggles and share similar goals, reducing feelings of isolation and increasing motivation to change. Our program also prioritizes family involvement, offering parents and caregivers the support, communication tools, and guidance needed to create a healthier home environment. Together, these elements make Cherry Creek’s adolescent residential program a safe haven where teens can gain stability, learn essential life skills, and build a strong foundation for lasting recovery.
